First Holy Communion 23-4-2016

On Saturday we received our First Holy Communion. 

It was a great day, full of happiness and joy, culminating in a beautiful ceremony in the cathedral.

Thank you to our parents for our beautiful outfits, bringing us to the church and for the party we had after!

Thank you to the teachers for getting us ready for the day.

It really was a wonderful day that we will remember for the rest of our lives!

A visit from Áine Cahill

We were lucky enough to have a visit from Áine Cahill today. 

The famous Cavan singer was kind enough to answer some of our questions and sing us some of her wonderful songs. 

Then she moved down to the school hall where she had the entire school entranced with her beautiful voice. 

Many thanks to Miss Russell for organising the visit. The whole school really enjoyed it.

Ukulele lessons started today.

We started ukulele lessons this morning with Therese McCartin from The Cavan Academy of Music.

We will learn some chords and hopefully be able to play some tunes.
