Happy Chinese New Year
We made dragon masks to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
We hope our dragons will frighten away the bad spirits, to make the coming year a really great one!
Can you guess who is hiding behind each dragon mask?

Youtube Link: "Imagine" by John Lennon
These last few weeks we have been listening to the song "Imagine" by John Lennon.
We examined the words and the meaning of the song.
Then we tried to express our thoughts on this song through art.
We have created some fantastic pieces....

Yummy Snowmen!
Our class recently got 10 Compliment Bugs for having a wonderful line at break time.
To celebrate, Mr Walsh had a surprise for us. We were going to make our own edible snowmen!
First we heated marshmallows and a tiny bit of butter in a microwave, and then added loads of Rice Krispies.
After a lot of mixing, we formed the mixture into two balls. The bigger ball was for the body of our snowman, and smaller one was for the head.
When they had cooled we covered them in cream and stuck on Smarties for eyes.
We put a sweet on it head on to look like a hat.
Our marshmallow snowmen looked great and tasted delicious!
