School Sports Day

We had our school sports day on Wednesday 25th of June.

We took part in dancing, more dancing, racing, skipping, yoga and co-operative exercises.

It was a super fun day, and we were all wrecked tired going home!

Thanks to all the teachers involved.

Ark 1x1 Project

Since September there have been many different pieces of art on display just inside the front door of our school. This was part of a project called Ark 1x1.

Our class were invited to write about and draw pictures based on the feelings we got from these pieces of art.

Florencecourt House

We visited Florencecourt House for our school tour. It was fantastic!!!! We went back into the past to the year 1910. There was going to be a christening in the big house and we were scullery maids for the day. It was a very busy day! We cooked, cleaned, polished, washed, ironed, folded, set the table, went to school and played some games just as a scullery maid would have a long time ago. It was hard work, but we really enjoyed it. The teacher was very scary though...

Life in Irish Waters

We had a visit from a few scientists from the Department of Marine.
They taught us about some of the important insects and fish that live in Irish waters.
Using magnifying glasses we found some insects swimming around in a tub and then we were able to examine them under microscopes.
We had great fun being scientists for a while!

Happy Chinese New Year

We made dragon masks to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

We hope our dragons will frighten away the bad spirits, to make the coming year a really great one!
